Valley West Hawks tie with Calgary Northstars at MacsTournament

Day 3 at the Mac’s AAA Midget Tournament

Two goals from six shots in the first period gave the Valley West Hawks an early lead at Max Bell Arena. It wasn’t until the final 20 minutes that Brendan Adams got the equalizer for Calgary Northstars to make it 2-2 and the second tied result for the Hawks in Pool 5.

Josh Dias in goal for the Hawks stood on his head in the second period as the Northstars threw everything bar the kitchen sink at the net. Outstanding goal-tending-the best so far in the Mac’s Midget Tournament.

Mac’s Midget Male Division (Pool 5)

There are five male Bantam AAA teams competing in Pool 5 in the 40^th year of the Mac’s Midget AAA Hockey Tournament: Calgary Northstars; Airdrie CFR Bisons; Ontario Jr. Reign; Regina Pat Canadians; and Valley West Hawks.
