A good start off from the Sheraton in Calgary this morning. We headed west in somewhat different directions-me up the Bow Trail and down the Sarcee and Lindsey along 16th but we all made it pretty much together at the Shell “Olympic” Station opposite COP for refuelling. This was our last scheduled fuelling on the journey. One of our best early morning drives-no wind and dry. But going through the Banff National Park boundary gate we were informed of a rock/mud slide out on the Trans Canada Highway. No passage west on that route until at least 12:00 pm so out we went on a road trip detour, over Highway 93 to Radium Springs then up along the spectacularly beautiful Columbia Valley to Golden. It lost us some time and added over 50 km to the journey. Through BC we continued-Revelstoke, Kamloops, Hope and a stopover at Chilliwack. Tomorrow we head on to our final destination -Vancouver.
