Around the Great Lakes

Shell’s Smarter Driver Challenge: Day 7 (June 17, 2012)

The best part of 1000 km was covered today heading north on the 400/69 then along the shores of Lake Huron and Lake Superior. Weather variable, including torrential rain in parts around Sudbury but clearing up later. Contrary to some roadside opinions, the challenge car travelled at around the 90 km per hour speed limit where conditions permitted and overtook a few vehicles (see photos). Excellent Polish and other varieties of food at the Best Northern Motel tonight in Wawa. Some of us saw not just one, but three giant Canadian Geese in Wawa. What a gaggle.
