The Palomino Smokehouse and Social Club was the place I took my first and last Sled Island Music & Arts Festival photos. The Sunday sessions at Palomino’s were fun events not only to cover the musical performances but also to take portraits of the volunteers, artists, and music fans celebrating with a traditional pig roast BBQ on the final day of Sled Island. This year’s festival was cancelled due to the CODID-19 pandemic, but you can look back at the Palomino and events at nine other venues I covered over the last four years in my book Sledding: Sled Island Music & Arts Festival 2016-19 published on June 23, 2020.
