On the last day of the year it’s playoffs day at the 40th year of the Mac’s Midget AAA Hockey Tournament. There are eight teams in contention at the quarter-finals stage, seven from Canada and one from the USA:
- Calgary Northstars
- Albert Raiders
- Red Deer Optimist Chiefs
- Calgary Buffaloes
- New York Jr Islander
- Fraser Valley Thunderbirds
- Regina Pat Canadians
The winners go again in the semi-finals played at Max Bell Arena 1 at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm
