Five from five

Game five in the Alberta Female Hockey Elite Bantam League played out on Sunday with a fifth successive win for the Calgary Fire White. With two goals scored in each period, the home team kept on top of things throughout the match, despite a bit of a comeback from the Red Deer Chiefs who put in a couple of goals in the second period.

Power play pain

It was the penalties that did it for the Chiefs who paid the price for their indiscipline with three power play goals scored by Caolan Marks, Ryann Perrett and Gracie Gilkyson.

Mya Healey, Payten Evans and Hailey Wiltshire scored the other goals for the Fire White. Hailey Hoogkamp and Jordan McLaughlin went on the scoresheet for the Chiefs.

Final score: Calgary Fire White 6-2 Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs.
