The Calgary Rugby Union was busy last night with schools rugby finals plus a local Division 2 encounter between the Rams and Canucks.

The Rams opened up things in the first half when they broke from a scrum to score under the posts. The Canucks soon came back though with a try from the right winger into the corner. As the half came to a close, the Canucks defence was surprised by a quick tap penalty taken by the Rams Number 8 who went over for a try, making it 12-5 at the interval.

The Rams backs took advantage of a dropped ball close to the line and the centre (12) scooped up the ball to score. The Canucks came back again, this time from a lineout about 10 metres out and a forward (24) crashed over the line to make it 19-10.

The Rams made more of their possession and some strong passing moves out to the left wing produced two more tries making the final score Rams 29-10 Canucks.
