The Girls Hockey Calgary (GHC) White Hawks got off to a good start in the first day of the Alberta Hockey Provincial Championships presented by ATB Financial, putting in eight goals without reply from the Sherwood Park Fuzion. Hawks centre, Maddy Noonan opened up the scoring half-way through the first period at Castledowns Arena, Edmonton.
Sherwood Park changed their goalie for the second period but in the very first move from the face off, Maddy Noonan got away, centre ice and took the puck around the back of replacement, Kaylee Eleniak for her second goal of the game. Ella Kitchen did the same, scoring her second just before the end of the period.
To close things off and two minutes to go, Grace Crooks flipped the puck up and over the clutching glove of the keeper. Final score: Girls Hockey Calgary White Hawks 8-0 Sherwood Park Fuzion.
Thank you for our keepsake photo of Maddy and all the others. Spectacular capturing!
Your write up gets us so filled with anticipation and joy.
Thanks, Ashley. Kathy
