Cariboo Cougars win 5-1 win against Team Germany

It was quite the tight period, the first one at Father David Bauer Arena, Calgary. The BC- based Cariboo Cougars opened up the scoring before number 22, Christoph Kiefersauer pulled one back for the Germany U17 Nationals. It would be the squad’s last goal in the Mac’s Midget AAA World Invitational Tournament this year.

The Cougars came out strong straight from the start of the second period, scoring twice in quick succession, then another one. That was enough for starter goalie #29 Mirko Pantkowski who was replaced by #1 Jonas Steinmann. Meanwhile, Cougars goalie Griffen Outhouse was outstanding, keeping the door firmly shut for the remainder of the game.
