Music Poetry

In guiding hands

A bow, put straight
Across four strings
Young fingers firm
Yet arched to move
And form new shapes
That create
And make
Sweet cello music.
……….
This poem was inspired by Morag Northey, cello performer and teacher extraordinaire, celebrating her mid century birthday at the Paul Van Ginkel Art Gallery in Calgary tonight. Thank you for sharing your huge creative spirit with your students including our daughter, Jennifer.
Hands are your hands. Hands in yours!
