My pick of the bands from the second day of the festival was Black Joe Lewis, from Austin, Texas. BJL  pushed out some fab funk, blues and soul with some terrific playing from the bass and horn section.

In his return to Calgary,  Kid Koala brought along dancers to fit in with his scratch turntable treats and got my best theatrics award for the night.
